On January 18, 2026, the Vietnamese Student Association in the UK (SVUK) successfully hosted the 2025 Year-End Conference and the Consolidation of the Executive Committee for the 2025-2026 term. This event not only celebrated a year of explosive activities but also opened a brand new chapter with a strategic vision and a strongly consolidated leadership team.

The 2025 Year-End Conference and the 2025-2026 Executive Committee Consolidation took place in a formal yet vibrant atmosphere. Opening the programme, SVUK President Cao Quoc Dung highlighted our one-year journey, featuring 12 key events spanning Academics, Career Orientation, Culture, Sports, and Volunteering.

Despite the inevitable challenges, SVUK has maintained its role as a "common home"—a place where thousands of Vietnamese students across the UK find connection and companionship. The conference also openly addressed existing limitations, laying the groundwork for practical improvements in the coming year.
As 2026 approaches, SVUK has established its guiding principle through a 3-word slogan starting with "Pro": Proactive responsibility - Professionalism - Profound expertise (Chuyên trách - Chuyên nghiệp - Chuyên sâu). More than a slogan, this is a specific commitment from the Executive Committee to innovate our organisational mindset, operate more efficiently, and create sustainable value for the Vietnamese student community in the UK.
The conference also received close guidance from the Embassy of Vietnam. At the event, Ms. Dao Thi Hong, First Secretary responsible for Education, expressed her pride in the solidarity of the young Vietnamese generation in the UK.
To promptly encourage the student movement, on behalf of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Ms. Dao Thi Hong directly awarded Certificates of Merit to 25 individuals with the most outstanding achievements in the Association's work during the 2025 academic year. This is the clearest testament to the persistent efforts of our executive members to connect the community and turn towards the homeland.

One of the most crucial parts of the Conference was personnel organisation. Delegates consulted and filled key vacant positions, bringing the total number of SVUK Executive Committee members to 27.
To realise the "3-Pro" orientation, the Association's structure has been strengthened with clear task delegations for 5 core functional departments, including:

A highlight of the Conference was the opening ceremony of the 1st Vietsoc London Congress. This marks a milestone, strengthening ties among member societies in the UK capital - home to the largest concentration of international students. As a leading educational hub, London not only hosts a network of prestigious universities but also serves as a major "gathering point," with the highest density of Vietnamese students in the UK. With an ever-expanding community, uniting independent societies scattered across the capital into a unified bloc is an urgent necessity.

The Congress successfully appointed the Vice Presidents responsible for Finance - External Relations, Events, and Media, laying a solid foundation for community activities in this region.
The conference concluded in a solemn atmosphere of strong consensus. With a passionate new Executive Committee and the clear "3-Pro" orientation, SVUK promises to continue delivering practical value, proving itself a solid pillar for the Vietnamese student community in the UK in 2026.
